About Ashley N. Baker
Attorney Ashley N. Baker has defended truck drivers and motor carriers in state and federal courts. She has also served as in-house counsel for a major international airport, managing their litigation portfolio.
Ashley has appellate practice experience with the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, in their appeals and federal litigation units. She has also drafted and reviewed contracts involving Fortune 500 companies and governmental agencies. Her practice further extends to intellectual property matters, including copyright and trademark protection for businesses and individuals seeking to safeguard their creative works and brands.
Ashley is the 2024-2025 Chair of the American Bar Association Tort, Trial, and Insurance Practice Section's Commercial Transportation Litigation Committee. Ashley has been a licensed truck driver for 15 years. She has driven a tractor-trailer through nearly every part of the United States. She is the author of nine authoritative books on the transportation industry and is well-versed in transportation regulations.
In 2020, Ashley graduated from Southern University Law Center where she earned her Juris Doctor. Ashley received her LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2024. She also obtained her Masters of Science in International Transportation Management from SUNY Maritime College in 2023. Ashley is also pursuing a Ph.D. at Morgan State University in Transportation and Urban Infrastructure Systems.
